The ScrubHub Human Atlas is an exploratory anatomical reference preview. It is not a clinically reviewed ScrubHub lesson, a diagnostic tool, a patient-specific model, or a replacement for your program’s anatomy resources.

The adult male geometry comes from BodyParts3D 4.0 (isa_BP3D_4.0_obj_99.zip), via the Human Atlas project below. See the publisher’s license, CC BY 4.0 terms, dataset downloads, and BodyParts3D publication.

What ScrubHub changed
ScrubHub adapted the interface and rendering integration to its existing website, added keyboard-accessible search and a non-3D directory, and split the geometry into on-demand visual layers. The upstream model already includes coordinate conversion, geometry simplification, and quantized normals. ScrubHub’s repacking is lossless: it does not independently recenter, rescale, or further simplify the parts.
The derived model data remains available under CC BY 4.0. The model manifest lists the downloadable parts and chunks; the provenance ledger records source and output hashes, licenses, and modifications. Credits do not imply endorsement by the original creators or publisher.
Before you study
- This is one adult male reference, not a representation of every sex, age, body type, anatomical variation, or disease state. Female models are not included.
- The pack contains 2,234 modeled pieces and 3,432 searchable source concepts. Concepts can group several internal pieces; they do not necessarily provide a complete organ surface.
- The 15 color-coded layers are illustrative display groupings, not a clinically validated anatomical classification. Colors and exploded positions are visual aids, not real tissue appearance or location.
- Some structures are absent, simplified, or represented by only a few pieces. Do not infer absence in the human body from absence in this model.
- ScrubHub has not completed an independent clinical accuracy review of this reference pack. Confirm labels, relationships, functions, and clinical relevance with your instructor and authoritative course materials.
- This separate reference viewer does not change the review or publication status of Mechanism Lab lessons, nutrition content, or other clinical material.
Downloads & privacy
The searchable directory loads first. 3D starts only when you choose to open it. The initial skeleton geometry is about 4.7 MB; all layers total about 33 MB. A selected structure may need its entire containing chunk. The viewer uses your device’s graphics capability; on slower or unsupported devices, use the directory instead.
No AI model, paid API, microphone, camera, account, or patient information is needed by the Atlas. Viewed public assets may be cached by ScrubHub’s existing service worker; offline availability depends on what you loaded and the space your browser retains.
